How to Get More Energy Naturally—The Smooth Energy Drink

It’s common to need a pick-me-up during the day, and I used to drink energy drinks to get a little oomph and make it through some long work hours. I didn’t pay too much attention to the calories or the levels of caffeine in them. I just drank them.

Then I began to hear some alarming warnings about drinking too many of those types of drinks. What was worse was hearing how bad they could affect young children already getting addicted to drinking one or even more energy drinks every day. I started to worry about my own health, and also about the health of my grown children and my grandchildren.

Never Need to Ask How Can I have More Energy Again

I wanted to learn how to get more energy naturally. I discovered green and fruit smoothies, and was soon a convert. “Living Healthy in the Real World” states that green smoothies provide many health benefits including helping the body stay hydrated, promoting intestinal health and good digestion and also provide a ton of nutrients.

All that is true, and to top it off, green smoothies and fruit smoothies provide an energy boost and are all natural and healthy alternatives to caffeine laden energy drinks. It didn’t take long for my entire family to follow suit. After all, who can resist a creamy thick shake that tastes great? Even my grandkids love them.

Fruit smoothies are terrific energy boosters for women, children and even big, tough full-grown men.

Some of the great benefits of smoothies include:

  • Weight loss
  • Energy boosts
  • Vitamin and mineral supplement

These are just a few of the benefits of drinking smoothies. If you use “super foods” to create your fruit smoothies, such as acai berries you can even get added fat burning and immunity boosting qualities.

Most of the berries commonly used in smoothies such as strawberries, black berries and blueberries are high in antioxidants that help prevent cancer. There are simply no downsides to enjoying a delicious smoothie one or more times a day.

How to Create Your Own Homemade Energy Drink

The only equipment you need to create natural energy boosters is the BlendTec blender. You can find these great blenders at Blendtec and also learn how to get more energy naturally, and create healthy foods for your entire family.

After awhile, I noticed that drinking smoothies not only showed me how to get more energy, they also helped me lose weight. I wasn’t as hungry anymore. Smoothies are very filling, and at the same time, provide a lot of nutrition.

Soon it became less of an issue of how to have more energy, I started drinking smoothies for breakfast to get my day started, and then with lunch and dinner to help get that full feeling, and provide me with many servings of fruits and vegetables at the same time.

Now I don’t have to ever think about how to gain more energy. I’m fully-fueled all day long, and feel great too. My favorite smoothie is what I call the “Blueberry Bomb.” It is simply 2 cup of frozen unsweetened blueberries, 1 banana, 1/2 cup of almond milk, and stevia to taste. That’s it. I don’t need extra ice because of the small blueberries hold a lot of frozen water in them.

If you use fresh blueberries, reduce the amount of almond milk and add ice. That amount makes enough for me and my husband to have a very large smoothie.

Smoothies are so simple to make that even the most complex smoothie recipe can be made by older children and teens for an after school energy boost. If you need to get more energy, get your blender fired up and make smoothies for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
